Overview

The prep work is 75% of a job. And unless handled properly, the final coat of paint will inevitably fail sooner than expected and cost the homeowner more money. Most painting companies will not perform all the following functions in preparing your house for painting:

  • Full area power wash prior to painting

    - To remove dirt, grease & loose paint

  • Trench along stucco/foundation perimeter of home

    - Not a common practice, but allows us to bury our paint line

  • Scrape and power-sand all peeling paint areas
  • Prime all bare wood
  • Galvanized metal primer on all bare metal surfaces
  • MoldAvenger biodegradable moss and mildew remover
  • Wire-brush flaking and deteriorating stucco
  • Stucco-patch large areas
  • Caulk small cracks in stucco
  • Caulk seams and fascia boards
  • Only top grade & top brand paints are used

"The college students of College Works Painting were courteous and well mannered. They took pride in their work and took great strides in every detail. They were on time, as schedule, and ready to work. Their painting skills were that of a professional painter and the cleanup was the same."
