College Works Painting

College Works Painting is a college internship for ambitious college students and a house painting company in Ann Arbor, Michigan for homeowners looking for a great paint job at a fair price. College Works Painting is determined to deliver a world-class leadership experience to qualified college students by teaching them how to run their own house painting company. The College Works Painting interns first learn every aspect of running a business as well as every aspect of house painting. Then, the interns apply what they learned to the real world by quite literally running their very own house painting company firsthand. Doing so, the College Works Painting interns separate themselves from their peers. They build their resumes with competitive and transferable skills, and they gain the practical work experience needed to successfully compete in the job market after graduation. Homeowners have testified that College Works Painting has been a rewarding experience for them as well. Homeowners receive a great paint job while working with an exceptional college student local to their community. Most College Works Painting interns in Ann Arbor attend the University of Michigan or other local schools. Because the interns live locally to the neighborhoods they paint over the summer, it makes the experience all the more intimate for the homeowner and college intern alike.

We value a results economy at College Works Painting. For this reason, intern training begins almost immediately upon hire and continues throughout the entirety of the program. The trainings that take place during the summer differ slightly from the long training seminars that occur during the winter and spring months. We refer to our summer trainings as Payroll Fridays. At Payroll Fridays interns can expect more paint training, safety training, business training, and administrative training (how to process payroll for the house painters, for instance). Immediately following the Payroll Friday trainings, interns are invited to a team building type event which we refer to as a Payroll Friday Event. At College Works Painting, we enjoy working hard and having fun.
