College Works Painting

College Works Painting is a college internship and a house painting company in Salem, Massachusetts. Via the College Works Painting internship college students learn how to run a business firsthand. This gives college students a competitive edge in the job market after graduation (or even before) because they have work experience and a skill-set unlike their peers. Most recent college graduates have not managed their own business before graduating college. College graduates who completed the College Works Painting internship, on the other hand, have successfully run a business while still in college. In addition, College Works Painting teaches college students how to run every aspect of a business and how to run it properly. We teach our interns how to manage the financials and profitability of their company, how to process payroll for their crew of house painters in Salem, how to market and sell work, and how to deliver what they promised to customers (a fantastic paint job). The intern training begins in a classroom type setting and continues out in the field. The education received from College Works Painting continues throughout the entirety of the program.

College Works Painting holds company culture in high regard. We have created a culture of team work and team support because we believe that success is best achieved through the support of a team. We teach our interns the importance of teamwork first hand. At training sessions we have group exercises and team participation. Interns and District Managers will share business advice and best practices in an attempt to help their peers become as successful as possible throughout the program. We also invite the entire team to participate in our bi-weekly events throughout the summer. These events are designed to increase team bonding. We also want a culture where our team works hard and has fun.
