College Works Painting

College Works Painting is a hands-on college internship in San Luis Obispo. We teach college students, many of whom attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and other local schools, how to run a house painting company. Via the College Works Painting internship college students learn every aspect of running a business. More importantly, they learn it firsthand. Following our intensive training programs, the interns go out and begin running their business. However, it’s worth mentioning that no College Works Painting intern does anything alone the first few times. Additionally, each intern is supported by a mentor and supervisor throughout the entire program, speaking weekly if not daily. By the time the interns interact with homeowners seeking house painting in San Jose, the interns are fully trained and capable of providing top quality house painting services.

Company culture is extremely important to us at College Works Painting. Our motto is work hard, play hard. We want our interns to enjoy what they do, which will ultimately enable them to become their most successful. Throughout the summer the interns attend trainings and events. Similarly to the atmosphere of our training sessions, our events promote team work and team bonding. College Works Painting develops talented business people because we instill proper business values in them. For instance, success is best achieved with the support of others. Due to the strong culture at College Works Painting, the interns develop incredible bonds with each other. The College Works Painting internship is difficult. We have an extensive interview process to ensure we only hire the most capable and qualified students to participate in our program. We do this for student success and so that homeowners receive a great paint job. Because the internship is so difficult (which is what makes the internship worthwhile), we create a supportive team culture.
