College Works Painting

College Works Painting is a college internship in Santa Cruz, California. We teach local college students, namely from University of California, Santa Cruz and other local universities, how to run their own business. The College Works Painting internship teaches college students every aspect of running a business. And since we’re a professional painting company, painting is definitely a skill we teach our interns. However, the internship is not a painting internship. Rather, our internship is designed to teach college students how to run a house painting company in Santa Cruz. The interns are responsible for managing a crew of house painters in Santa Cruz and overseeing their work to ensure the high College Works Painting standard is met. Our interns undergo an extensive training program well before painting begins to ensure quality house painting is delivered. In addition to our initial training programs, our trainings continue during the summer as well. This is to ensure continued success and growth. We call our summer trainings Payroll Trainings. During the Payroll Trainings interns get additional safety training, paint technique training, and get help processing payroll for their crew of house painters. It’s a fun and serious atmosphere in which our interns and clients both benefit from.

Company culture is very important to us at College Works Painting. Our motto is work hard, play hard. One of the many ways we bring our motto to fruition is rewarding hard work. Throughout the summer we take our interns on a team building oriented activity. These activities are a ton of fun but also promote team work and support. Together, the trainings, the support, and events not only help the interns create unbreakable bonds with each other but they also enable the interns to become more successful and to help their peers do the same. The grand finale to our work hard, play hard culture is our awards banquet at our Top Performers Awards trip at the end of the program. All the top performers from Santa Cruz and other College Works Painting divisions throughout the country get together and are recognized for their incredible achievements. It’s the perfect end to a once-in-a-life-time experience.
