College Works Painting

College Works Painting is a college Internship for driven college students – most of whom attend Emporia State University, Kansas State University, or the University of Kansas (although we recruit at other schools as well) – who want to propel their career by running their own house painting company in Topeka over the summer while still in college. As a college internship we take the responsibility of teaching college students how to run a business properly (one with integrity) very seriously. Students along with homeowners in need of house painting in Topeka benefit from this. Students benefit because they learn integrity and responsibility firsthand – communicate effectively, arrive on time, deliver what you promise. Homeowners benefit because they can expect a professional and top quality paint job from a reliable company.

To ensure the College Works Painting interns and our clients, homeowners in need of painting, receive the greatest experience possible, we dedicate a lot of time and resources properly training our interns and house painters in Topeka. Almost immediately upon hire our student interns begin our intensive training program. We take our trainings very seriously and expect our interns to do the same. Interns are expected to arrive to training on time and prepared to learn. We ask that they attend trainings well rested and ready to learn, dressed in business attire, and prepared with pad and paper to take adequate notes. We also train our house painters despite their level of experience. This is to ensure the College Works Painting standard is met with each house we paint.

We believe in balance at College Works Painting. Balance is the true measure of success. We teach this lesson to our interns firsthand by inviting them to participate in team oriented events throughout the summer. The events bring the interns closer together and are simply a time to enjoy life. Work hard, play hard, have fun.
